    The Champaign County Historical Museum was founded in 1974, and was located in the Wilbur Mansion until 1999. Currently home to the Champaign Cattle Bank, it is used for exhibits, a historical library, meeting rooms and a gift shop.

    Originally opening on Veteran's Day 1999, the Vermilion County War Museum exhibits more than 200 years of U.S. Military history over two floors. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 12pm to 3pm, Saturday from 10am until 4pm and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.

    Vermilion County Museum

    The Vermilion County Museum is located within the 1850s home, built by pioneer physician William Fithian. Abraham Lincoln was a personal friend of Fithian, and gave his 1858 speech campaigning for the U.S. Senate from the south balcony of the museum. Tours of the museum, including the bedroom that Lincoln frequently stayed in, are available Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-5pm.

    Prairie Aviation Museum
    The Prairie Aviation Museum features revolving aviation exhibits and memorabilia, a mini-theater, and various aircraft models. Outdoor exhibits feature the Bell Sea Cobra, Huey Helicopter, T-33A, Navy A-7A Corsair II, and the USAF T-38 Talon. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Saturday 11-4pm, and during the months of April-November, the museum is open Sundays 11-8pm.
